A city-building game about the AI boom

The First AI Boom puts you in charge of both an AI company and the city around it. Homes need roads, residents need jobs, and businesses need customers with money to spend. Power, commuting, training, pollution, and public services all affect how the city develops.

Automation can increase output while changing the demand for workers. Training and sharing company profits give you other ways to respond. A richer company does not automatically mean happier residents, so watch employment and household spending as well as your cash.

This is a fictional economy simulation with authored events and several possible endings. You make the decisions; no AI account or API key is needed.

Start small. See what changes.

  1. Follow the marked tiles. The opening guide shows where to place a home and connect it to the road network. Construction shows the cost and which budget pays.
  2. Let the city run for a month. Check jobs, spending, power, and your two balances before expanding again. Pause whenever you need time to think.
  3. Choose how to grow. Add businesses and services, adjust automation and profit sharing, and respond to the events of the first six years.

Compare cities with a friend

Open Share → Play with a friend as soon as you start. A shared link lets your friend build from the same starting conditions, on their own schedule. Exchange results at months 12, 24, and 72 to compare residents, employment, happiness, city funds, company funds, and household spending.

These are saved results, so send a fresh link when you reach a later checkpoint. You do not need to be online together. The 72-month campaign result stays fixed even if you keep building afterward.

Still growing at month 200? Share opens your actual current month, city preview and results. Send its read-only link or save a city image for your post. Choose Saved campaign · Month 72 when you want a friend to try your original campaign.

Before you build

How long does a game take?

The campaign lasts 72 simulated months. At normal speed that is about 24 minutes of running time, plus time spent paused or making event choices. You can speed up, advance months manually, save, and return later. Reaching month 72 unlocks an ending and continued play.

Does it save my city?

Autosave and three manual slots keep progress in this browser. Use the Saves menu to export a file if you want a backup or to move your city to another device. A challenge link shares a result and starting conditions; it does not transfer your city save.

Can I play on a phone?

The game supports pointer and touch input. A larger screen gives you more room to inspect the city and its building controls. You can pause while placing buildings or reviewing the economy.

Is this live multiplayer?

You build independently and compare saved results through links. There is no live shared city, account, or global leaderboard. For a live room with friends, try Neon Rift, Drift Clash, or Oxygen Rush.

What kind of city will you build?

Try a strategy, watch the economy respond, and compare the outcome.
